Little Space Heroes: Sign Up For Adventure!

Sign up for adventure

Rarely do we come across a game that focuses on good, clean fun. “adorable” is something that modern-day game companies veer away from like a plague. Video games are infamously known for blood, violence, sex, and gore so it is but natural that concerned parents look at video games as something not suitable for young children. But, all that is about to change with the arrival of Little Space Heroes. Bravely defying the video game dogma, Little Space Heroes is everything a parent could ask for in a video game for kids. Aside from being adorably cute in every way possible, the game itself is just as entertaining to adults as it is for young kids. Visit the website and you would soon be enthralled by Little Space Heroes’ charm, wit, and overall game play. Do not just take our word for it, see for yourself, sign up for adventure and become a little space hero: http://www.littlespaceheroes.com/

NEWS: Star Wars Celebrates 30 Years Of Video Games

Star Wars 30 Years

The most successful movie tie-in franchise ever is celebrating 30 years of video games. It’s hard to believe that it’s been three decades since the first Star Wars video game graced our eyes. Stronger than ever and looking pretty good in the future, the Star Wars franchise engine doesn’t seem to be slowing down at all.

Looking Ahead: The Northern Invitational

With only a day left to prepare for the Northern Invitational on Sunday (January 29), what decks should be considered as decent if not great options to end up on top?  The past couple of days I have scoured the Net and ended up with eight decks, some old and some new, that will hopefully do well against the field on Sunday.  Here they are:

Jund Kessig Wolf Ramp

Fresh off a Grand Prix win in the hands of Team ChannelFireball’s Conley Woods, this archetype boasts of eight titans and a plethora of removal spells.  Ramping into either Primeval Titan or Grave Titan is exciting but being able to poison an opponent via Inkmoth Nexus or Viridian Corrupter is also powerful.  This isn’t easy to pilot but those who can will appreciate how it presents different angles of attack.

Magic: The Gathering- Tribal wars in Dark Ascension… Who’s your bet?

werewolf

In Innistrad block there are five tribes. Now that all Dark Ascension cards have been spoiled, its time to guess which tribe do you think will dominate in the next release? Make sure to comment after voting to win a prize once the poll closes. Choose wisely!

  • HumansHumans occur in all colors but dominantly in white and green. White humans are depicted as religious officials and warriors while green humans are monster hunters. This is the first set in which humans are treated as a tribe.
  • SpiritsSpirits occur in white and blue, and sporadically in the other colors. White spirits represent guardian spirits and blue spirits represent geists.
  • ZombiesZombies occur in black and blue. Blue zombies are Frankenstein’s Monster-like beings, while black zombies are ones that have risen from their graves and attack in hordes.
  • VampiresVampires occur in black and red. Black vampires appear to be sophisticated individuals while red vampires appear more savage.
  • WerewolvesWerewolves occur in red and green. Every werewolf is a double-faced card with the transform mechanic. One side of each of the werewolf cards is a human werewolf.

Philippines Grabs the Top Spot in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Asian Championships 2011 PLUS (Team Tournament Division)

feat

Yu-Gi-Oh! is a tradable card game that has been existing for quite a long time now, and  has recently been making noises in the Philippine gaming world. The game aims younger kids to teens, but mature players also play the game since it has simpler game play and casual enjoyable environment. It is not as cutthroat as other card games which makes the competitive level of the game lighter compared to others. Friendship and brotherhood in Yu-Go-Oh! is strong which makes the game more fun and entertaining. We got a chance to talk to Mr. Jack Siao, one of the owners of Courtside Philippines and discussed how Yu-Gi-Oh! has grown over the past few years.

NEWS: By The Gods, Kratos Is Back For God Of War 4

KRATOS

It is no secret that Kratos is one of the baddest if not THE baddest video game character of all-time. He tops the list of most violent kills, most blood-curdling personal history, most disturbed psyche and most bagged babes in one night. Now that’s no easy feat.

So, it’s no surprise at all that Sony is giving God Of War its fourth incarnation for the Playstation console. Kratos fans, such as myself, are more than happy to embark on another angst-filled adventure starring our favorite Spartan.

An In-Depth Look At NBA 2K12

NBA 2k12

[From guest writer Joseph Garcia]
I’m an American football lover through and through. After coming to the Philippines, back in 2002, I had to find a new sport to set my sight on. What else is there other than basketball, honestly? Philippines is a true basketball loving country. From Milo camps to the UAAP, NCAA, PBA and occasional NBA visits.  It’s everywhere on TV when basketball season is in full effect. American-full contact football was not something people liked too much. After a couple of months of practice and streetball games, I could call myself a baller. Which brings me to the point of my article.

REVIEW: Circle Pad Pro for the 3DS

Circle Pad Pro

It was announced last September that Nintendo will be releasing a peripheral for the 3DS: an additional Circle Pad. It was released this week in Japan and in the USA and you can get it for around $20. My initial reaction was why didn’t Nintendo think of this earlier when they were still developing the handheld console? Well, of course I was a bit disappointed, but let’s look at the specifics.

First of all, it looks awkward. It definitely looks weird, having an extension at the right side of the console. It’s is not in any way symmetrical anymore, which would greatly affect how you play especially if you’re as rigid as I am. However, the peripheral is relatively lighter than expected.
